HOLIDAY OPENING WEEKEND
NO TOUR NEEDED! ENJOY THE DECOR AT YOUR OWN PACE!
This year, for the first time ever, Lyndhurst will open the holiday season with an “Explore at Your Own Pace” event. During Black Friday Weekend only, visitors can walk through the mansion without a guided tour, view the holiday decorations at their own pace, and take in the wonders of the historic mansion.
Locals can seize the opportunity bring their visitors to see the unique beauty that lies right in their backyard and celebrate the start of a new season. Parents can take advantage of the weekend to introduce their children to the historic house museum without committing to the traditional one-hour guided tour. Guests will also enjoy refreshments in the Carriage House, shopping specially curated goods at the Museum Shop, and posing for photos among the many outdoor holiday vignettes.
See why Lyndhurst was voted one of the “Ten Best Historic Holiday Tours” by USA Today. The thematic rooms will include a Victorian Christmas, staged with traditional candles and fruits. See antique children’s toys from the Gould collection, a room dedicated to gorgeous glass Christopher Radko ornaments, and the Gilded Age dining room set for a lavish Christmas supper. The crowd-favorite upside-down tree defies gravity in the Picture Gallery. From traditions to trends, Lyndhurst celebrates the season in style and glamour.
