For gourmet food in Westchester, you don’t even have to sit down.
There are so many delicious, creative food trucks serving food from all over the world. From a fourth-generation hot dog stand, Walter’s, that the New York Times once wrote “may top the list” of dogs in America, to melty sandwiches that have appeared on the Food Network (Melt Mobile) to Southern Barbecue from Crafty ‘Cue BBQ. There are even “rambling” coffee trucks from Ramblin Coffee to The Espresso Guys. And pizza. So. Much. Pizza. From Neapolitan pies fresh out of wood-fired ovens to New York thin crust.
But because these restaurants are on wheels, you have to keep track of them. While we haven’t included all of the food trucks in the county, we hope this includes most of them.
While some park in the same spot on certain days, with most, it’s best to check where they are on any given day on their social media profiles. Below, we’ve included their Instagram profile or another way to reach them.
Also important to know: increasingly, it seems, so many of these trucks are serving private events — from birthdays to weddings to corporate lunches. Many trucks are also flexible, allowing you to pick-up by calling ahead and even delivering. So just give them a call or send a message. And let us know how it goes! Bon appetit!
