A Fun Day for the Entire Family!

Fall Crafts at Lyndhurst, a celebration of all things handmade, returns to Tarrytown, New York, on September 13, 14, 15, 2019! Featuring 300 modern American artists, designers and craftspeople, it is Westchester County’s most beloved arts event and favorite shopping experience at one of its most popular landmarks. A perfect day for the entire family.

This festive semi-annual event is held on 67 park-like acres at one of the world’s most beautiful historic estates, Lyndhurst, home to a magnificent mansion museum (with on-going tours), a fabulous carriage house and one of America’s first bowling alleys (tours available); all with scenic views of the Hudson River. Crafts at Lyndhurst is a Hudson Valley destination event not to miss!

Festival-goers can meet talented emerging and seasoned artists who will be selling their exciting contemporary creations which include one-of-a-kind and limited-edition designs in every material imaginable. These exceptional indie artists infuse each of their pieces with a distinctive creative vision. Find earrings made of stingray; handbags made from antique books; flowers made of glass; pens made of money; necklaces made of meteorites; even bowls that look like cantaloupes; alongside contemporary wood furniture, handwoven fashions, craft pottery, steel indoor and outdoor sculpture, blown glass vases and more.

Crafts at Lyndhurst is more than just a fabulous shopping experience! Visitors should also plan to visit the gourmet specialties section and expanded food court to fully experience scrumptious hand-crafted delights. Enjoy a smorgasbord of tantalizing foods for lunch; sample and bring home yummy sweet or savory gourmet specialty foods; sip unique beverages and New York state wines, whiskeys and spirits. Entertain the kids with a variety of children’s activities including interactive puppet theater with Middle-earth Studios, face painting, storytelling, balloon animals, stilt walkers and more! Get hands on with craft demonstrations throughout the show and don’t forget to take a tour of the incredible Neo-Gothic Lyndhurst mansion!

For 34 years hundreds of thousands of people have enjoyed this semiannual cultural phenomenon that has become one of the most beloved arts festivals in the United States. Crafts at Lyndhurst has raised almost four million dollars for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and has helped sustain the careers of thousands of artists from across the country.

Check out what all of the fuss is about on September 13, 14, 15, 2019. A weekend pass is $12; seniors (62+) are $11; children 6 – 16 are $4 and children under 6 are free. Lyndhurst, the Gothic Revival mansion and its picturesque 67-acre estate are an outstanding example of 19th century landscape design including sweeping lawns accented with shrubs and specimen trees (some that are found only on this property) as well as a thriving rose garden and the nation’s first steel-framed green-house conservatory.  Lyndhurst is also part of Westchester’s RiverWalk which spans 14 municipalities and is a part of the Hudson River Valley Greenway. Tours of the magnificent Lyndhurst mansion are available at an additional cost.
