Have a Ball This Fall
I’m not going to lie—I’m partial to fall. In Westchester, as the leaves turn to orange, red and yellow, so does the tint of each holiday, from the saffron of Halloween to the earth tones of Thanksgiving and finally, the evergreen and scarlet of the Holiday Season, followed by a dollop of white snow.
In this edition of Guest, I’d like to introduce you to all that Westchester has to offer, from celebrating our harvest at the many food festivals to the spooky events at Sleepy Hollow, and the Winter Wonderland at Kensico Dam. Not to mention the arts festivals, family fun, and live music.
But let’s start with this weekend. Where are you going to cure that hangover? At brunch, of course! We have a guide to the hottest spots to enjoy a midday feast. Then, time for a visit to a local taproom to sip on a warming, spicy, or refreshing seasonal beer from one of Westchetser’s many brewers (check our guide ahead). Your weekend would not be complete without a little shopping. Pick from our listings of personalized boutiques where you’ll find your favorite new furniture or outfit to curate that perfect look. But, wait, there’s more: Check out our listings of orchards, bikes and hikes, and farmers markets to eat fresh and healthy.
As you dive into fall, we invite you to share your fall experiences with us on social media with the hashtag #WestchesterGuest. If you learned about an event from us, I’d love to see you enjoying it with your family or friends.
So whether you’re looking for a fright or a delight, pumpkin spice or something nice, a leaf to peep or a new memory to keep, thanks for starting your fall with us and I’m wishing you an enchanting autumn.
Warmly
-Nina N. Harrison, Publisher
